Governor Urges Education Overhaul
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick told a legislative committee hearing Tuesday that the state's education bureaucracy needs to be overhauled. He urged lawmakers to support his legislation reorganizing the state Department of Education. Unlike most bills, it was filed under "Article 87" of the State Constitution, which means it will automatically take effect in March, unless rejected by the legislature. WFCR's Kevin McNicholas has more.
