Rainy Weather Continues to Plague the Region
Bradley International Airport in Connecticut received more than 10 and a half inches of rain during the month of June, which is more than six inches beyond normal levels for this time of year. Kim Buttrick is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Taunton, Massachusetts. She says a trough,
or a dip in the jet stream is responsible for New England's unsettled weather conditions.
"It's basically keeping our pattern active and rainy, where we've had showers, we've had the thunderstorms, and we really haven't been able to get into a real change in the weather pattern. It looks to be the same for the next couple days and through the weekend."
