The Song of Spring and Summer

On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring. Summer Night on the River. To Be Sung of a Summer Night on the Water. Brigg Fair. The Walk to the Paradise Garden. A Song of Summer.
The titles alone bring warmth, sunlight and a languid mood to a gray January day, such as the day in 1862 when Frederick (Fritz Theodor Albert) Delius first took breath in Bradford, Yorkshire. We'll celebrate the birth anniversary of music's foremost tone painter of spring and summer with all of the above canvases, dappling Tuesday's classical music on WFCR like the sun filtering through the leaves of a majestic old willow. Oooh...I think Delius might have smiled at that simile!

Your poetic prose
If Delius isn't smiling, I sure am! Thanks.
Alas, my poetic license
Alas, my poetic license expires at the end of the year. But you're welcome!
