A world with more birthdays and less cancer

Cancer is an ugly disease.

There are success stories of those who have battled cancer and have been able to defeat it, but there are many people who cannot. Here I discuss my experience watching loved ones battle a disease for years and how it affected my life and the things I would like to accomplish. My mother, and my boyfriend, Daniel, weigh in on what they saw as they watched me handle both situations so close in time to one another.

My friend’s mother, Francine, passed away on January 8th, 2014.

My Uncle Tony passed away on January 30th, 2014.

Rest in peace to them both.
