News of the month: More Follies!

What was the best  music news of September?  For me, it was the one reported in a brief ArtsBeat piece in the New York Times:  The currently-running Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's musical Follies will be extended for three weeks to January 22, 2012.

That gives you 21 more chances not to miss what has a chance to become one of the most exciting and moving music theater experiences of your life.  Am I being presumptuous?  Do I gush too much?  Well, let me paraphrase a former presidential candidate, and remind you that extremism in the defense of great art is no vice.  Please don't miss it!
