The Minnesota Orchestra is Back

Last Friday the Minnesota Orchestra returned to the stage of Orchestra Hall after being locked out for 16 months in a concert conducted by Conductor Laureate Stanisław Skrowaczewski. You can read a review of the concert and the history of the labor dispute.

The remarkable 90-year-old conductor and composer Stanisław Skrowaczewsi has made a series of award-winning recordings of the complete symphonies of Beethoven and Bruckner with the Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra, and this afternoon a little before 3:00 we’ll hear one of the works played in Minnesota last week, Beethoven’s “Eroica” Symphony.
