The Massachusetts chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association holds its annual winter conference tomorrow in the Quabbin-area town of Barre. The keynote speaker will be Andrew Kimbrell, founder of the Center for Food Safety in Washington. It’s a non-profit member organization that opposes industrial-style farming methods, genetic engineering of crops — while promoting sustainable alternatives, especially organic farming.
The annual winter conference will be held tomorrow at Quabbin Regional High School in Barre. The day will also feature workshops on gardening and farming, with programs for young people as well. Please see the site www.nofamass.org for more information.
