Slaves to Fashion Uncovers US Sweatshops

Clark University Professor Robert Ross has a new book on the rise of the sweatshop in the American apparel industry. In his book Slaves to Fashion, Ross says globalization, deregulation and the erosion of unions have led to a rise in sweatshops, not only in other countries, but here in the United States.

Ross will take part in a program on sweatshops with folk singers Charley King and Karen Brandow, Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton, Massachusetts.
