Authors barred from the US to have works read

About a dozen Western Massachusetts authors — including Elinor Lipman, Jane Yolen, and Martin Espada — will be reading works Tuesday night by other writers and public figures who’ve been barred from the United States. Nancy Murray is education director for the Massachusetts American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) which is co-sponsoring the event, “An Evening Without — giving voice to the excluded.” Murray told WFCR’s Karen Brown, it’s a different take on the traditional banned book readings.
