Tunisian Youth Spearhead Protest in Arab World

The revolutionary protests resulting in the overthrow of Tunisian president Ben Ali and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak are regularly characterized as youth movements.25 year old Neda Belhassen,a Fulbright scholar teaching Arabic in Western Massachusetts,is from Tunisia.She was in the US when Mohamed Bouazizi,a Tunisian fruit vendor,burned himself to death,an act she told WFCR’s Susan Kaplan that sparked protests.Belhassan says that this uprising is one young people deserve to get credit for.
