Report Claims Hundreds Of Workers At Westover In 1970’s And 80’s May Have Been Exposed To Agent Orange

A recent article in the Springfield Republican reports hundreds of military and civilian crews who worked at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, Massachusetts three decades ago, may have unknowingly been exposed to Agent Orange, the chemical defoliant used in the Vietnam war. New England Public Radio’s Kari Njiiri spoke with the article’s author, Republican reporter Jeanette DeForge about an effort by a group of Westover veterans to identify fellow crew members and get them the same medical benefits given to those who served in Vietnam.
