UMass Education Graduate Program Resists Testing Methods

It’s not just elementary and high school students who face an ever-changing array of testing methods. Teachers do too – particularly when they are seeking their first job.  But when Umass Amherst’s school of education experimented this year with a new tool that evaluated student teachers in the high school classrooms, all but one of the program’s graduates rebelled – and the instructor who led them may be out of a job.
