Ko Festival of Performance Tackles ‘Age and Aging’

The Ko Festival of Performance begins its 21st season July 6 at Amherst College. Every year, the five-week festival — which features original work written and produced by the performers themselves — focuses on one theme, and this year it’s “Age and Aging.” Festival director Sabrina Hamilton recently came to our studio, along with Amherst playwright Constance Congdon, who opens the festival with her solo piece — called “Is Sex Possible?” Hamilton told NEPR’s Karen Brown that age and aging may not seem an obvious theme to attract an entertainment-seeking audience.
