Power Outage Throws Super Bowl Into The Dark

Part of the Superdome in New Orleans lost power during the third quarter of the Super Bowl, delaying the game.

“There is no scoreboard, play clock or anything else working except for some ceiling lights,” the San Jose Mercury News reports.

At the time of the outage, the Baltimore Ravens were leading 28 to 6 against the San Francisco 49ers.

CBS reports some of the lights are coming back on. TV announcer Solomon Wilcots reports the coaches are planning to keep the players on the field and keep them stretching.

We’ll continue to update as more information comes in.
