Same Sex Couples and Adoption

In a new study, psychology researchers at UMass Amherst look at how same-sex couples who adopt children compare with heterosexual couples who adopt. Lead investigator Rachel Farr  says that the study found that there were differences in the division of childcare between how lesbian-gay and heterosexual couples parented.  But Farr told New England Public Radio’s Susan Kaplan that  how each dealt with childcare did not end up being related to how well the children were doing.
