A technical glitch has halted trading on the Nasdaq.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Nasdaq announced the halt at 12:15 p.m. ET on Thursday and, as of 1 p.m., it was still suspended.
The newspaper says the issue stems from a data feed that provides market data for Nasdaq-listed securities.
“We are monitoring the situation and are in close contact with the exchanges,” SEC spokesman John Nester told Reuters.
