Tackling Sex Assault On College Campuses In Connecticut

A proposed bill in Connecticut aims to improve schools’ responses to rape on college campuses. It would expand an earlier law, and requires colleges and universities to train response teams to act quickly when a rape or sexual assault is committed.

Susan Campbell is a reporter with C-HIT, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team. Campbell says the proposed legislation is a start, but adds, “It’s a sad statement that we’re talking about what to do post-crime.”
