Allegations of Rape at Amherst College Lead to a "Day of Dialogue"
Amherst College has been in the news recently, but the stories have not been those any college president would want in the headlines. They involve allegations of rape on the campus. One of them came to light when former student wrote about her experience in the student newspaper. The college's president, Biddy Martin, has said she is committed to improving how the school adjudicates sexual misconduct on campus. Friday the campus will be closed for what is being called "a day of dialogue." Tania Dias is a senior at Amherst and explains what the major themes of the day will be.
