Kumble Subbaswamy
The new pick for chancellor of UMass Amherst, Kumble Subbaswamy, was system President Robert Caret's top choice, and the system's trustees voted unanimously Monday night in his favor. Subbaswamy is a physicist-turned-provost at the University of Kentucky. He told New England Public Radio's Anne Mostue that the Massachusetts research institution is a good fit for him.
