Effects of Cutting Ritual among Somali Immigrants

Six years ago, Somali refugees fleeing that country's civil war began to settle in Springfield, Massachusetts. About 40 families are living here now - and still adjusting to American culture. They also came here with their own cultural practices - and one of those is the controversial ritual of female genital cutting. Very few women want to talk about it publicly -- something one Springfield organization wants to change. WFCR's Karen Brown has this report.
