Federal Cuts to Science Funding Have Implications for Universities

In an effort to relieve pressure on the federal budget, Congress last month cut government spending on scientific research. The House and Senate cut funding for the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and other federal agencies, a move that will squeeze research grants at universities across the country.
