LIVE BLOG: The National Bee Casts Its Spell
After a grueling semifinal that included words derived from Latin, French, Hawaiian and Afrikaans, there are only nine left.
That's nine finalists who can correctly spell words like "cholecystitis" and "kanaima" and who will face off at 8 p.m. ET. to decide the champion of this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee champion.
