Massachusetts High School Students Design Curriculum

Williams College professor Susan Engel spent a year working in New Marlborough Massachusetts schools.She learned about high school students with differing academic backgrounds who wanted to take learning into their own hands. The result,with supervision from teachers and a guidance counselor,a school within a school dubbed,The Independence Project.Engel told WFCR's Susan Kaplan that the students mornings were spent on a self directed social and natural sciences curriculum
