His stance distinguished himself from his opponent, the pro casino Elaine Pluta, and at 22 Morse became the youngest of the New Guard of Holyoke, as some see it. So his followers, many who actively helped him get elected were stunned and confused when they heard the news about reversal on the matter of gambling establishments in the city.
