New England Public Radio is proud to announce that its website, NEPR.net, has been recognized with the "Standard of Excellence"  Award from The Web Marketing Association. The award was given in the non-profit category, and according to The Web Marketing Association, "recognizes the standard of excellence for which all websites should strive."

In 2011, the Northampton, Massachusetts based web design firm, Gravity Switch, helped New England Public Radio redesign its web presence.  The site has undergone continuous updates and improvements in the year since its launch.

NEPR.net offers live streaming of all New England Public Radio's services including 88.5FM WFCR, AM640 all-news WNNZ and 88.5HD all-classical; nationally-recognized music blogs written by local hosts John Montanari (Classical Blog) and Tom Reney (Jazz Blog); regional news from the station's own newsroom and national and international news from NPR. The site also provides an online events calendar for the region and archives of locally-produced features and news stories.

"We are committed to making the website better everyday," says Peter Chilton, the station's Brand Manager and Webmaster. "Easier to use, with more engaging content, and available on more devices. The goal is to make it an important part of western New Englanders' daily routine."

In addition to New England Public Radio, 2012 WebAward winners also include: WETA Learning Media, Colonial Williamsburg, Southern California Public Radio, Scholastic Inc., and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital among many others.

Founded in 1997, The Web Marketing Association helps set a high standard for internet marketing and website development. The organization has produced the WebAward competition for the past sixteen years. It is the longest running annual website award competition, dedicated to naming the best websites in over 95 industries.
