Number of American Mosques Grows Substantially in Last Decade

There are now more than 2000 mosques in the U.S. That's about a 74 percent increase from ten years ago, according to a new study conducted by among  others , the Hartford Institute for Religion Research. It's director, David Roozen,  says  that the development is particularly noteworthy given that most mainstream religions aren't growing at all.
