Matt Rigney has spent much of the past five years on fishing boats, exploring some of the most remote corners of the world. His new book, "In Pursuit of Giants," chronicles this adventure and is also his investigation into how commercial fishing endangers the ocean's fish and their ecosystems. Rigney grew up fishing with rod and reel on Goose-Rocks Beach in Maine. He told New England Public Radio's Leanna First-Arai his adventure story began when he returned to that coast one year to find empty waters.
