Reports: Kansas City Chiefs Player Kills Self Near Stadium

A Kansas City Chiefs player has reportedly shot and killed himself, NFL.com is reporting.

The shooting occurred early this morning at the team's training facility near Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., according to a police spokesperson. The player's name has not been released, but a statement posted to the team's website confirms "an incident" and that the team is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.

Accompanying the news are conflicting reports of a related shooting at another site. For now, Fox reports, Arrowhead Stadium has been placed on lockdown.
