Leominster’s proposed slots parlor narrowly lost to a proposed slots casino in Plainville. Two of the five commissioners on the state gaming board supported the proposal in the north-central Massachusetts city.
Later this week, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission is expected to announce the location of a slot machine parlor. It will be the first casino license awarded by the board and a central Massachusetts city is in the running.
Voters in the Worcester County city of Leominster will cast ballots Tuesday on a slots casino bid.
