Smith Alum Speaks on Writing

When she was a student at Smith College, Adrian Nicole LeBlanc wrote a piece about suicides in her hometown of Leominster, Massachusetts. After graduating, LeBlanc spent ten years working on a book detailing the lives of Jessica and Coco, two women in New York City. The book, Random Family: Love, Drugs, Trouble and the Coming of Age in the Bronx won awards and high acclaim. LeBlanc returns to Smith this afternoon to offer reflections on becoming a writer.
