The value of the Euro has risen more than 50% relative to the dollar since it was introduced in 2001. The rise of the European currency and its’ impact on the US economy is the subject of a talk today by University of Massachusetts Economics Professor Jerry Epstein. He’ll be speaking this afternoon to the World Affairs Council of western Massachusetts. Epstein says there are 3 main reasons why the euro is doing so well.
Epstein will lead a brown bag lunchtime discussion on the euro today at noon in the community room of the Sovereign Bank building on Main St.
