UMass Educators Help Train Afghan Teachers

Twenty-one Afghan teachers received master's degrees in education in Kabul this spring, with help from UMass School of Education's Center For International Education. Joseph Berger--an associate dean in the school of education says the center works to build educational infrastructure in countries where conflict and strife pose great challenges. And  Berger says Afghanistan's decades of difficulty have led to sparse educational resources.
